*GRIDLOCK ON LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY AS TRUCK AND BUS COLLIDE*

By Ayomide Ajayi

A devastating accident involving a truck and a bus has caused a massive gridlock on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, leaving many travelers stranded.

The incident occurred around 7:00 am on Thursday at the Berger-Kara axis of the expressway, when a truck and a luxury bus collided, resulting in a huge traffic jam.

According to eyewitnesses, the truck, which was heading towards Lagos, lost control and swerved into the opposite lane, where it collided with the bus, which was traveling to Ibadan.

Three people were injured in the accident and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Emergency responders, including officials from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and police operatives, were quickly deployed to the scene to manage the situation.

The vehicles involved in the accident have been cleared from the road, and traffic is now free, but the gridlock has caused a significant delay for many travelers.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of the expressway, which is a major artery connecting Lagos and Ibadan.

The authorities have appealed to motorists to exercise caution and patience while traveling on the expressway, especially during peak hours.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
