The management of Shootings Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, on Monday, unveiled seven new players ahead of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2024/25 season.

The players unveiled at the Club House were two midfielders, Adebayo Abayomi and Abubakar Aliyu; two goalkeepers, Akande Abiodun and Mustapha Lawal; two strikers, Ayanrinde Samuel, Bolaji Sakin, and one defender, Ofietefian Sylvester.

In his remarks, Chairman of 3SC, Mr Babatunde Olaniyan, promised a better outing in the new season, as he disclosed that the second phase of the unveiling will be held at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba on Friday.

The Oluyole Warriors also unveiled their home and away jerseys for the new season at the event, as Olaniyan said that the jerseys will be available for fans both in Nigeria and outside to purchase at the start of the new season.

“This is the first phase of our unveiling of new players as the second phase will hold on Friday.

“Our target this season is the league title, at worst a continental ticket. We can’t afford to miss a continental ticket next season because that is our aspirations and we have to achieve it with God on our side,” Olaniyan said.

Meanwhile, coach of the Oluyole Warriors, Gbenga Ogunbote, has said the new all signings became necessary to enable the team to achieve their goal.

“We have decided to fill the gaps this season, we brought in two in the goalkeeping department, in the defence, we are working on more and we have utility players too.

The striking force has also been a challenge not peculiar to 3SC. We tried our best last season and now we have been able to look at different directions to ensure we fill the gaps of our team and we hope to have a better season this time,” Ogunbote said.
