Saturday 16th,of November 2024 will linger in the hearts of the old boys of Fatima college ikire who under the great association called FACOBA,gathered to hold the school’s annual general meeting.

In his stwardship account, the immediate past President, Pastor Henry Otoihibi, appreciated the grace of God on members of the association.
He highlighted the remarkable achievements of his team, which he said included, strengthening the alumni with increase in class sets joining it.
New chapters, like Ikire, Osogbo, Ife, Benin and Abuja worked upon to take off and become
active. According to him his team also offered scholarship to indigents of the school.

Indigent students were offered scholarship.

Another remarkable achievement of the Pastor Henry Otoihibi’s team is the publication of the history of Fatima College, Ikire. The published book was spearheaded by an alumnus, the first Nigeria flight Engineer, Pa Engr. Debo Adegoke. He said the successful publication of the book was facilitated through generous donations from members of the alumni of Fatima College, Ikire. He paid glowing tributes to all the donors, content contributors and the publisher of the book.
He attributed the success of his administration to the unwavering commitment of members of his Executive and all Fatimarians at home and in diaspora.

He however, advised the incoming executive to embark on membership drive.
He called on States and class sets that are yet to be part of the association to work on joining without delay

Highlight of the 2024 FACOBA meeting was the election of a new Executive to run the affairs of the association for the next three years.

Only three of the positions were keenly contested for, the posts of the National President, Vice President and Secretary.
Elder Gbenga Ajayi, had 77 votes defeating his opponent who had 39 votes to become the National President of the school, while, Arch. Saheed Adebayo had 78 votes defeating his opponent who had 36 votes, to become the National Vice President, Sarafedeen Ajibade was elected as the National Secretary with 69 votes to Isiaka Oyegunju’s 40 votes.

The newly elected President, promised to uphold the virtues of which the founding fathers of FACOBA premised the founding of the association on. He also reiterated the fact that, all stakeholders in the Fatima College project will have to be carried along for the dream of the the school’s founders to be realised.
