The outgone Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, Ademola Babalola, has congratulated the newly elected Chairman, Akeem Abas, on his victory at the just-concluded union election.
In a post shared on his Facebook page, Babalola described the election outcome as a true reflection of the collective decision of members of the union.
According to him, “Oyo NUJ 2025 Decides: The results reflect the state of our union and members have spoken loudly… Congratulations Abas Tunde Akeem.”
Babalola also expressed gratitude to colleagues for their support throughout his six-year tenure, noting that he remains optimistic about the continued growth and unity of the council.
“I appreciate colleagues for their support while our 6-year tenure lasted. May our union continue to grow stronger. Cheers to everyone,” he added.
