It is tears for fans and lovers of Nigerian gospel singer Taiwo Adegbodu as he reportedly passes away.

 

According to reports making the rounds online on Facebook, the gospel singer, who is a twin, died in the middle of the night.

 

A Facebook fan page dedicated to the twins also shared the news, expressing heartbreak over the twins’ demise.

 

TAIWO, why will you leave me and your kids without notification?

My heart is bleeding, Lord, how do you want me to cope without him?

 

God why? This is too much for me to bear!!!”.

 

Many on social media are already mourning the singer.

 

In January, gospel singer and evangelist Bunmi Akinaanu, better known as Omije Ojumi, passed away. According to reports, the singer took ill around 2025, and all efforts to get her back on her feet were futile.

 

The death of Bunmi Akinaanu is coming after the death of popular singer, Aduke Gold, who was pronounced dead by medical experts.

 

Following her untimely death, her family raised a complaint with University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, claiming that the staff of the medical facility were responsible for the gospel singer’s demise. They claimed that the medical officials at the hospital allegedly delayed treatment of her, which led to her demise

 

Similarly, prominent television presenter, actress, fashion designer and singer Lara Odubo died on Saturday, July 28th, 2024. The sad news was made known by blogger Temilola Sobola. Though the cause of her death was unknown, reports claimed that the entertainer had been ill for some days before her passing.

 

Another Gospel singer, Dare Melody, had lost his beloved wife, Adedoyin Odunuga nee Odagi. The sad news was made on the singer’s Instagram page, though he didn’t reveal what caused her death.

 

In 2024, many were thrown into mourning after losing veteran Christian actor Moses Korede, popularly known as Baba Gbenro.
