The Oyo State Public Relations Officer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Michael Ogunsina, has raised concerns about what he described as a political move to destabilize the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.
Speaking during an interview, Ogunsina said the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin was offered a large financial inducement running into eight figures, along with a House of Representatives ticket, to influence ill decision Against the governor and the government.
He also stated that the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja approached the Speaker and asked him to join the All Progressives Congress.
According to Ogunsina, this was part of a wider plan to weaken the current administration.
Ogunsina further alleged that Florence Ajimobi is pushing for the impeachment of Governor Makinde.
He said these actions suggest that some influential figures are working to create tension within the state’s leadership.
He added that the situation reflects an attempt to cause division between the executive and legislative arms of government.
Ogunsina warned that such developments could affect stability if not addressed.
He maintained that the PDP is aware of the situation and will continue to monitor events as they unfold.
