Oyo State Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde has emerged as the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) following a unanimous affirmation by the party’s leadership.

Speaking at the event, the National Chairman of the APM, Alhaji Yusuf Dantali, described the presidential primary process as one of the most peaceful, transparent, and rancour-free exercises in Nigeria’s political history.

Following the affirmation, Dantali presented Makinde with the party’s Certificate of Return and officially handed over the APM flag, symbolising his nomination as the party’s standard-bearer for the presidential election.

Makinde’s consensus candidacy was unanimously endorsed by all 36 state chairmen of the party, underscoring the broad support he enjoys across the federation.

The event is currently ongoing at Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall in Ibadan, Oyo State.
