Heavily armed bandits have reportedly released the body of General Rabe in Katsina State and moved into a nearby forest area in Matazu Local Government Area without confrontation, according to local accounts.

It was gathered that the remains of the late general were handed over in the early hours of yesterday morning before the armed group left the area.

Residents said the bandits proceeded toward the forest region of Matazu unchallenged after the incident, raising concerns about security presence and response in the area.
