Oyo State Governor, engineer Seyi Makinde, on Monday swore in Dr. Debo Ladipo as a commissioner, while announcing the redeployment of Professor Solihu Adelabu to another ministry.
At the swearing-in ceremony held at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Ibadan, Makinde announced that Prof. Adelabu would now serve as Commissioner for Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives, while Dr. Ladipo takes over as Commissioner for Establishment and Training.

The governor stressed that appointments, redeployments and changes in government should not be viewed as a verdict on the competence or performance of public officials.
He explained that changes in government assignments are often determined by the priorities of the administration and the expertise required to accomplish specific objectives.
The governor urged the new commissioner and other members of the cabinet to remain committed to the administration’s vision, stressing that there was still much to accomplish before the expiration of the government’s tenure.
