A memorial service has been scheduled in honour of Deacon John Olayinka Olaleye, one of the victims who was murdered by kidnappers while being held captive following the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
This is coming despite the unavailability of the body of the departed Teacher.
The families of the late victims, Micheal Oyedokun and John Olaleye had been calling on the federal government to help recover the corpses . An effort that has not yielded any result.
The service will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, Isale Afon, Ogbomoso.
