The Chairman of Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Nura Abdullahi, has regained his freedom after spending 61 days in captivity.
Channels Television gathered from a family source that Abdullahi was released alongside other victims abducted during the attack.
Abdullahi was abducted on July 25, 2026, when bandits attacked his residence in Bungudu town.
He was released alongside the other victims, although the circumstances surrounding their release were not immediately disclosed.
The Zamfara State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement on his release.
