Valuejet Cup Sanctions Remo Stars Assistant Coach and Others for Misconduct During 3SC vs Remo Stars Game This Evening After One of the Staff Slapped a Referee.
The Organizing Committee of the ValueJet Cup has announced a series of disciplinary measures following incidents that occurred during the ongoing tournament.
These sanctions were imposed after careful review by the tournament’s Disciplinary Committee, in line with the competition’s regulations and code of conduct.
1. Coach Sulaimon Kamil (Assistant Coach, Remo Stars FC) has been suspended for one (1) year for conduct deemed to have brought the competition into disrepute.
2. Mr. Yomi Ademosu has been banned from participating in the ValueJet Cup for two (2) years for allegedly assaulting a match official by slapping a referee during an ongoing fixture.
3. Mr. Stanley Joseph has been suspended for one (1) year for misconduct in violation of tournament rules.
4. Remo Stars Football Club has been fined the sum of ₦1,000,000 (One Million Naira) for infractions relating to the incidents in question.
The ValueJet Cup Organizing Committee reiterates its commitment to upholding the highest standards of discipline, sportsmanship, and respect for all stakeholders, including players, officials, and fans. Any actions that undermine the integrity of the competition will continue to attract the appropriate sanctions.
