Adebayo Olugbenga Adedamola, popularly known as FRYO, has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
The party’s primary election, held on Tuesday in Osogbo under tight security, recorded a high turnout of accredited delegates.
Announcing the results, the presiding electoral official disclosed that Adebayo secured 919 votes out of the 957 valid ballots cast, earning him a decisive victory.
In a surprising development, the name of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, appeared on the ballot despite his earlier public announcement of resignation from the party.
