Nigerian singer Davido drew attention to the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State on Wednesday after appearing in a jacket bearing the inscription “Bring Them Home” during his performance at the FIFA World Cup Countdown Concert in Los Angeles.

The custom-made jacket featured the names of 39 abducted schoolchildren and seven teachers from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The incident, which occurred in May when armed men attacked schools in the Ahoro-Esinele community, led to the death of a school official and a motorcyclist during the raid, while a teacher later died in captivity
