Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, says victims rescued from the Oriire school kidnapping will undergo a 48-hour medical assessment before being formally handed over to the state government. Speaking after visiting them at the 2 Division Medical Services and Hospital, on Saturday, Makinde said many of the victims were still weak and traumatised but relieved to have regained their freedom.
The governor said medical and psychological support would continue while arrangements were being made for family members to reunite with the victims.
