The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three suspected armed robbers and recovered a firearm during a raid in the Sabo-Mokola area of Ibadan.
In a statement issued on Saturday, August 2, 2026, and signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, the Command said the arrest followed credible intelligence on the activities of armed robbers operating from a hideout in the area.
According to the statement, operatives of the Command Monitoring Unit carried out a coordinated raid on the identified apartment in the early hours of the day. During the operation, three suspects were arrested. They were identified as Tomiwa Ayomide, 28, Haruna Kabiru, 32, and Haruna Hassan alias “Malo”, 32.
