Operatives of the Oyo State Police Command have arrested two suspected drug peddlers and recovered eight parcels of weeds suspected to be “Canadian Loud” concealed inside a car tyre at a vulcanizer’s shop in the state.
The arrest was carried out on Tuesday, September 2, 2026, following actionable intelligence received by the Command about a known drug peddler using the vulcanizer’s shop to hide hard drugs.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, the Commissioner of Police, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, directed the Officer in Charge of the Anti-Narcotics Section, through the Deputy Commissioner of Police, SCID, to raid the location.
According to the statement, operatives stormed the shop and arrested the two suspects with the assistance of the vulcanizer. Eight parcels of suspected cannabis were found concealed inside a car tyre, while a vulcanizing machine allegedly used to hide the drugs was also recovered as an exhibit.
