BREAKING: Ibadan Stampede: How It Happened- Witness recounts ordeal (Video)

There have been new revelations on the turn of events at the Ibadan funfair stampede that claimed unconfirmed number of lives.

A facebook user on Agidigbo fm’s page Ridwan Ishola Kazeem has narrated his experience at the sad event.

He wrote

“This is so sad but the organisers didn’t do well at all 💯

I was there with my children this morning by exactly 06:40 with the hope that I will have ticket and secure space for my children.

1. Since this thing is free, they should expect more then 5000 people.
2. Security personnel should fill up to places to bring orderliness.
3. There should be ticket available and immediately you get to the gate, collect your ticket and those in charge will walk you to where you will stay.
4. It’s totally wrong for Mr Oriyomi be be at the venue by that time.
5. The chaos started when they were told that Alaji is around and everyone stand up to come and see him. That was how people dragging the way just to meet Alaji.
6. I as was there at far distance, I saw people throwing their children through the fence before they themselves also jump the fence. All in the name of meeting Mr Oriyomi.
7. I can say people who came to that place was not because of the children funfare, but just to see Mr Oriyomi.
8. The security in that place was so insecure. Because I expect Amotekun, operation Burst, road safety, to be there.
9. I can’t do a video recording make those useless hoodlums no hijacked my phone. Besides, I was holding my children with both hands.

This is such a big lesson to the entire Agidigbo FM that human being are the most difficult thing to control; especially adults who think they are old enough to make a decision.”
