In an amazing turn of events, a man who went missing 20 years ago has been found.
On Friday night at approximately 11 PM Keisha Johnson was arrested for prostitution and possession of cocaine in blackshear but when officers fingerprinted her they found a startling surprise. Keisha Johnson’s prints came back as Charles Moore who had been missing for 20 years.
“At first we thought our system was glitching” officers stated. After a thorough investigation which involved questioning Johnson, it was confirmed Johnson is Moore.
Moore who went missing in 2005 in Patterson was presumed deceased after no evidence or leads had been discovered since his disappearance.
Moore who had decided he wanted a new life, underwent a sex change and several cosmetic surgeries to become Keisha Johnson.
“Back then being gay or going through such a change was frowned upon and I didn’t want my family to go through that” Johnson stated when questioned.
When Moore disappeared he left behind 5 kids and a wife. His wife recently deceased, had believed that there was always more to the story and that her husband was still alive.
All of Moore’s kids except one are excited to find their father. The oldest child Charles Moore Jr, who is named after his father had this to say “I don’t know who Keisha Johnson is but that is not my father!!! I don’t care what a man is going through, you never abandoned your family!!!”
Moore’s other children who came together to bond their father out jail say they are excited to have him back in their lives and forgive him.
