The Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Mohammed Fadeyi, has vehemently denied rumors accusing him of plotting to impeach Governor Seyi Makinde.

Fadeyi, who represents Ona Ara State Constituency, stated that he has not received any money from individuals like Senator Adewolu Ladoja, Florence Ajimobi, or Zacheaus Adelabu, nor from any APC members, to destabilize the state.

In a statement on Tuesday, the lawmaker dismissed the allegations as baseless and a deliberate attempt to damage his reputation.

He affirmed his unwavering loyalty to Governor Makinde and declared he would never participate in any impeachment scheme.

He specifically refuted claims of attending any meeting with Oba Rashidi Ladoja, Florence Ajimobi, or Zaccheus Adedeji to discuss impeaching the governor.

Fadeyi further debunked reports of a meeting in Lagos hosted by Florence Ajimobi, allegedly involving the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Hon. Zaccheus Adedeji, to mobilize resources for influencing the State Assembly.

He described these claims “pure fiction,” asserting he was not in Lagos for such a meeting and had no discussions about destabilizing the state government.

He emphasized that his integrity and commitment to Oyo State’s development are paramount and not for sale.

Fadeyi however reiterated his dedication to serving the Assembly and highlighted Governor Makinde’s effective governance and positive impact on the state.
